Top Roller Camera

Top roller cameras monitor the top rollers in the float bath, which guide the glass ribbon at its edges and thus influence the width and thickness of the ribbon. The live image shows the position and engagement of the rollers at the ribbon edge.

Technology for continuous operation at the tank

Due to the high ambient temperatures in the glass industry, camera housings and transfer cylinders are water-cooled. Cooling can be provided by customer-supplied water or by a water/water cooler from SOBOTTA GmbH, whose closed secondary circuit supplies the system with treated cooling water regardless of the water quality.
